All free themes are provided under a Creative Commons Licence which means you are free to share and remix as long as you credit the author and license your derivative creations under identical terms.
In plain English this means you can use these themes as long as the link (usually in the footer) still attributes the theme to the author, even if you modify the theme.
People often ask if they can remove the link. Not sure why, but here is a way to make you feel better about removing it (rather than just ripping off my themes as some do!).
